From a box to a live screen.
Five steps take a TV from unplugged to showing your content and ready for alerts. Here is what to expect.
How do I set up MassCasts?
Plug a supported player such as a Fire TV Stick into the TV, install the MassCasts player app and open it once. Type the 6-digit code it shows into Screens, Pair a screen in your dashboard, assign a playlist, then place the screen on your Mass Coms floorplan so it shows the right evacuation route.

Other ways to run a screen.
The Fire TV app is our recommendation, but these work too.
| Option | How | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Android TV box or display | Install the MassCasts player app, open it once, pair. | Permanent screens |
| Android box with Fully Kiosk Browser | Set the start URL to signage.masscoms.com/screen, turn on autoplay, keep screen on and start on boot. | Locked-down kiosks |
| Raspberry Pi | Start Chromium in kiosk mode at signage.masscoms.com/screen on boot. | IT teams who like a Pi |
| Smart TV browser | Open signage.masscoms.com/screen. Tap once to enable emergency sound. | Trying it out |
Browser-based screens need one tap on "enable emergency sound" during setup, because browsers block sound until someone interacts with the page.
Setup questions.

Yes. Pair a screen on your desk, build a playlist and run a drill in Mass Coms to see the takeover.
